“This whole thing about NAFTA is much ado about nothing,” David Stockman said during an interview on Friday with FOX Business’ Dagen McDowell. “There wasn’t really anything wrong with NAFTA, and what’s going on now is negotiations because Trump wants to have some kind of big PR stunt.” "new decrees will not only raise the cost of autos and auto parts in the U.S., but require officials in Washington to waste time determining whether the deal is being followed or not" MAGNA btw Stop calling them Tariffs, there a hidden tax that the American people are paying. |

>only raise the cost of autos and auto parts in the U.S.
not Trump want production auto inside and American cars Does Trump want to drive German cars out of America? Last week, President Donald Trump threatened to slap heavy tariffs on imported cars. The president asked Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross to consider whether the imports of automobiles, including trucks and automotive parts, threaten U.S. national security. The move prompted an outcry from U.S. lawmakers as well as the foreign car companies. And investors reacted by selling shares of big European automakers, with both BMW and Daimler dropping on May 24 more than 3 percent in European trading on the news. This week, German magazine Wirtschaftswoche reported that President Donald Trump told told French President Emmanuel Macron he wants German carmakers out of the U.S. all together, according to Reuters. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/does-tr...ut-of-america/ |

I love Canada, but they’ve taken advantage of our Country for many years! (c) Trump
https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...50173224824832 There is no political necessity to keep Canada in the new NAFTA deal. If we don’t make a fair deal for the U.S. after decades of abuse, Canada will be out. Congress should not interfere w/ these negotiations or I will simply terminate NAFTA entirely & we will be far better off. Remember, NAFTA was one of the WORST Trade Deals ever made. The U.S. lost thousands of businesses and millions of jobs. We were far better off before NAFTA - should never have been signed. Even the Vat Tax was not accounted for. We make new deal or go back to pre-NAFTA! (c) Trump https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...05988682018816 Quote:

it is a consequence of crazy calculation of re-imports. many Canadian and US companies order together to get a better price and lower shipment costs. so let´s say each of this 2 companies are ordering goods for 1 billion from abroad and this 2 billion goods enter in Canada. now 1 billion for the US company is shipped from Canada to the US - than they calculate it on the trade balance between canada and USA what is not the case. if you just take the imports and exports from goods produced in one of the both countries the US have a surplus with Canada. but the old fucker can´t calculate - he just want to play war and he does not seem to accept that the last country in the world that can stand a trade war is the US because no country on this planet have that much debt. https://ustr.gov/countries-regions/americas/canada from this months on the tariffs will be visible in the market prices and trump takes back from the american people what he gave them with the tax cut. |

but Japan is such another country and culture that you can´t really compare those 2 economies. away from that Japan would never get the silly idea to fight a trade war. and the other 2 countries would be already bankrupt without help from the EU. sure - the united states are a big market - local and worldwide. one of the reasons for that is that americans live from credit cards. so people can easier buy when they want instead buy when they can. but this is an american problem and has nothing to do with the people that sell their goods there. but sure - it is used to make business from all - same as everybody is using the individual advantages of export markets. all countries dept together in the whole world is at this moment on 71 trillion dollars - the US part of that is nearly 22 trillion or exactly the military spendings of the last 25 years. 22 trillion is near to a third of the whole world dept made by a country what has less than 4% of the world population !!! once you take a close look at america's economic system, you'll see how paradoxical trump acts. america builds on the philosophy that where there are rich also the poor have work and bread. and therefore one does everything to make it right for the rich. basically modern slavery. the prosperity the average american feels is not the high quality 100 meter yacht but goods that are produced with even cheaper working people in the third world. if trump believes that these cheap laborers are damaging america, he is wrong, because he is not only taking away the income base of these potential buyers of american goods, but is also making the lives of american workers more expensive. so if all these goods are produced in america at "humane wages", then less of them will inevitably be produced. less production requires fewer employees and that creates the unemployed who have to survive in an even more expensive country. If you think this thought to end then you come to 2 possible answers: 1. trump is as dumb as straw and cannot estimate all this or 2. trump wants to turn america into its own china in which people exchange their brains for patriotism and do not question or criticize anything. an america without free media and without google in which the truth about him can be found. all this can be found 1 to 1 in the history books all around the world. every dictatorship started exactly like this. |

if they would have brought a homeless alcoholic into the white house instead of trump - he would certainly have made fewer mistakes. i will never understand why people who make economic decisions at the ballot box have so little (even basic) economic knowledge. what happens now was obvious from the day when trump started his campaign and everybody thought it is just a populist strategy. now the whole world (except his supporters) knows that this was not a joke - he was not pretending to be dumb - he IS dumb. |

it's ludicrous to even think that that you can compare gdp per capita between countries without including average wage as well
gdp per capita in canada is ~$57000 average wage per capita in ca is $50000 gdp per person in USA $79000 average wage per capita USA $74000 canada loses and thommy is very very dumb. |

Trade war: China will not help US with currency devaluation to reduce deficit
Beijing will not help Washington turn around its trade deficit by agreeing to measures aimed at devaluing the US dollar, according to China’s top envoy to the United States. Japan, France, West Germany and Britain agreed to the accord in September 1985 and jointly intervened in foreign exchange markets to depreciate the US dollar against the yen as well as the Deutschmark, in an attempt to lower the dollar and make US exports more competitive. https://www.scmp.com/news/china/dipl...luation-reduce |

your amateur arguments are not even fitting for a beer table conversation and i don´t have the time to explain you what I have learned about that stuff in 40 years. it would not make sense anyway because you know everything better than the ones who are certified to know it. |
