Since early last year, lumber costs have shot up by more than 60 percent. That's added almost $9,000 to the price of an average new home, according to the National Association of Home Builders.

" Buy American, Hire American " and then focused attention on industry to make products China wants, and can't produce themselves. but he doesn't, its usually " But Hillary" or " But Obama " or "No Collusion"

Chinese like one thing.. money, wages in China have risen over 4000% in the past 10 years. If you want manual intensive products made on cheap labour, you don't go to China anymore but countries like Sri Lanka or India. Any trade imbalance with China will naturally diminish, if the public " Buy American, Hire American" and the now famous " We're making Coal great again "

A huge part of the problem is Americans do not buy American. Most of claim we do - myself included - but the reality of is all is we do not stop and ask where something is made before we purchase it. I purchased a t-shirt at Target tonight, but truthfully I did not even bother to look at the label.

The other part of the problem is Trump is not the solution. Oh, he will say "buy American" and also "hire American" but then he turns around and does the direct opposite. The majority of employees at his resort in Florida are foreigners here on a Visa. Everything from his ties to the furniture in his hotels are made in Florida. His children are no better; Ivanka's entire line of crap was made in China.
