Any Panic/Transmit FTP Client users here?
Any Panic/Transmit FTP Client users here?
Just wondering if you can help with something. Transfering a bunch of files of any size is good and fast. But if the files are in a sub directory, transfering those files is pretty slow. Even worse if its a sub sub sub directory. Anyone know why this is so?

So if you need to transfer a bunch of files in a bunch of sub directories in FZ it is fast? Or as fast as having all the files in 1 dir?

I haven't this issue before...May I ask why you wouldn't compress them before transferring?

Zip the directory(s), upload the zip file, and have PHP automatically unzip it on the other end. Its light speed compared to the method you're using. Good luck.

either use rsync
or create zip archive, move it to new location., and unzip it there.

Zip/unzip is fine for large files but there are all small files. A few html, css files, a few images here and there. Less than 2 Megabytes. I'm at a loss.
