The Green New Deal really is a ridiculous, over-ambitious list of liberal wet dream items. But I don't think anyone is expecting a majority, or even a small part of this list is going to get done. Why not go big? If you accomplish a fraction of it then you will have achieved quite a bit.

It's a long ways away from 2020. Remember, there were 16 (I think) Republican candidates in 2016 and the field narrowed quickly. The same will happen here. A lot of people will drop out pretty early in the primary process.

In the end, so long as the Democrats don't pick Hillary again, they have a good shot at winning. Even if the Mueller investigation ends up not being bad for Trump, I think he will have a very difficult time getting reelected.

I didn't see this but if they were, it was a mistake for them to do it. So what if her plan is over ambitious? If only some of those things can be accomplished, it will be a good first step. Instead of hating her because she's a Democrat, what everyone needs to do is help her to realize some of the ideas. In fact, republicans should "steal" some of those ideas and make them reality before they are voted out. At least this way, everyone wins.
