As long as Trump is buddies with the head of Boeing, it won't happen. People lives are at stake? Trump doesn't care about that. He cares about money.

I don't know if this is a Trump thing - but the FAA might be too close to Boeing to make an independent decision and that might be a problem.

But that plane is sketchy...

I heard yesterday that Boeing had a software update to fix the problem, but that deploying the update was delayed thanks to the government shutdown. I don't know if that's true or not but holy shit if it is...

It's true....as I said in another thread, this makes Trump responsible for the deaths of those people.

Boeing software update to fix nosedive problem 'had been delayed by US government shutdown', it's claimed,
as firm faces compensation claims from airlines forced to ground jets.

well - if that turns out to be true we still don't know whether that software update would have been rolled out in time and if the outcome would have been different.

And I still believe that ultimately Boeing is to blame for pushing the 737 beyond her limits.

But it would also show that the "presidents" childlike behaviour can potentially cost real lives (due to the stupid way the US government financing is set up).

Imagine losing your loved ones on a plane crash because fixes to it were delayed because baby-trump couldn't get his baby-wall.

If I was flying I'd make sure my flight wasn't on a 737 Max 8

Trump is grounding the planes now...of course, after the media made it a big story.

This is the media doing their job. Trump was happy to roll the dice with people's lives and let the planes fly until everyone started talking about it.

Trump just did this. I am disappointed the FAA didn't do this earlier.

I wonder if there is more to this story. Did you know that the head of the FAA is Elaine Chao? Wife of... wait for it.... Mitch McConnell?

I'n not normally a conspiracy guy but....
