I had to change 5 of them last week. 4 were all on one manager and the 5th one was on another. The 5th hadn't taken effect in 4 days so I called them. They had a software problem that changed my "who is" info but didn't make the change to net. I didn't know that was even possible. They fixed it. You may want to check with who you are listed with. The other 4 were working here in less than one day.

Post the domain and where it should point.

I have changed DNS on domains that took more then a week to update, until I figured out it was my fucked up internet provider that was the problem, not the DNS change. Still happens. Takes a day for DNS to change, several days for the update to appear at my ISP.

some providers can take upto a week to update their dns. They just do it whenever they get around to it. lol

all you have to do to get the dns changed really really fast is not get everything off the old server that you absolutely need like scripts or emails and then it will change in about 24 fucking hours. (at least it always happens to me that way)

No need to change DNS servers at the same time you're changing webservers. Use www.ZoneEdit.com and avoid that in the future...

Agreed. They are the best.

But still, Friday I changed 2 domains to point to a new server. One started to resolve 24 hous later, the second took near 72 hours. I even emailed the registrar because that site was giving a 404 to their domain ( directnic).

Later today, everything is fine...

I changed DNS, and it took about 4 days for my ISP to recognize the change. I couldnt see the page that I had just uploaded, in fact, I had already gotten the sale off of it befor eI could even see it!
