Should the citizens of a country be able to choose who they want to lead them?

The creation of the EU has taken that power away from them. By slowly but surely centralising power to Brussels. In return for what?

The EU has not achieved one thing that In dependant countries have achieved, except for the Euro. Which is dished out to countries unable to regulate borrowing, spending and taxes effectively. The EUs second biggest market is in GBP. The EU trades with the rest of the World effectively. So it's no great advantage.

We were able to holiday, work and retire in Europe before the EU existed.

Politicians able to communicate and work with each other across EU and non-EU countries?

So what has the EU give to the people it rules?

Paul's inclination to think of himself as the messiah is simply not to be outdone.

I wonder why with all his "wisdom" he didn't make it any further than the social rank of an early retired toilet woman. It's strange when you tell others the lottery numbers, but never used them yourself.

i don't know how secure you can feel when you're ruled by a herd of wild apes who don't even have an idea of what they want.

in paul's small world, everything is very simple. unfortunately, neither the adultbiz nor global politics has recognized his genius. they are simply to blame if they don't do what paul says.

I'm ruled by Czech and EU laws. Being in Czech it's worth losing some democratic rights because of all the money and biz that has come here. Do I want to be entirely ruled by the EU is the question, do I want to pay for the privilege of the EU like Germans have to?

Not unless there are benefits only the EU can give me. And there isn't. You and Stefan have failed to list anything that's unique to the EU because it governs Europe.

Start by telling everyone, what is the EU achieving that non-EU nations can't?

I have, repeatedly, you are just too unwilling, ignorant and/or stupid to get it into your head.

Explaining something to you is like trying to teach tricks to a cat - but the cat is at least cute.

There nothing, other than the Euro, the EU has achieved that other Nation outside the EU have achieved.

Your failure to list them is not about convincing me in a 1 to 1 discussion. This is anopen forum not a private message.

Maybe you are just too unwilling, ignorant and/or stupid to get it into your head.

Lets hope that remains the case, right Paul.

Incidentally what will you do if your current extremely generous medical entitlements are withdrawn Paul ?

Will it be back home to the NHS ?

Or will you do the decent thing and contribute to the system you are currently leeching from ?

the eu helped distribute wealth through out the member states including the uk,

the southern states benefited the most by upgrading its people from dusty old roads and clay wooden building to what we have how across europe[all in 3 decades], now the eastern states people will upgrade their infrastructure with the help of cheap migrant workers, the workers in turn will send money home to Africa, asia and wealth will trickle into their states,

soon we will be one big happy world, sign up here
