superheros and robots at your mall?

Anybody else remember this? I remember seeing Spiderman show up at our mall and seeing R2-D2 and the Coca-Cola Robot.

The nearest mall to where I lived was almost two hours away. We went once a year to visit Toys R Us so my mother could get an idea of what we were into.

Same thing with movie theaters. We didn't have one near us so I didn't see many movies until after I joined the military. The only movies I saw when I was a kid was Jaws, Grease, and Top Gun.

I used to go-to the mall every day after my paper route and play video games at the arcade for hours. I don't never ever remember seeing any robots or superheroes, looks like fun though.

I had the same haircut as that kid in the first picture until I was 7 or 8 .

It's all starting to come together.

This is an event I shot last Sunday at a local brewery. Not only did Batman, Robin, Thor and Iron Man show up, but the group that put it on (Flying Hero Club) was founded by the guy that makes superheroes fly, and they let the kids fly. It was pretty cool to watch.

This kid was wheelchair bound
