Idaho announces cheapest power in US from solar $0.022/kWh
Meanwhile our president thinks windmills give you cancer..
Yep deep in coal country Idaho a very Red state & Republican run is now phasing out coal plants to use Solar/wind power infrastructure.. https://www.utilitydive.com/news/ida...ntskwh/551984/ Yet the dumbs aka Red Hats, actually think Trump is saving coal..

As I said before Republicans tell the dumbs that solar/wind is bad while they secretly support it in their own states because it makes more profits for the power companies.
Republicans are not against solar/wind.. They are against YOU being self sufficient. They don't want you powering your own home with your own power grid which is already very doable. They want to force you to be grid tied and dependent on power companies.. Meanwhile the dumb red hats run around claiming Trump is stopping wind & solar to keep coal alive.. He's not. the market has spoken.. Coal cost too much..

Dumb Red Hats ^^^
Let's talk about who the bad guys are... Democrats who are trying to tell people the future is coming and you need to prepare yourself. Democrats who are trying to push for retaining programs to help coal workers retool themselves for a future with out coal jobs .. Or.... Republicans, the guys giving rallies in coal country promising to fight for the coal jobs and telling them they have a future so long as they vote Republican.. Meanwhile those very same Republicans are supporting solar and wind energy in their states because it's more profitable for their big businesses power company doners.. Who's the bad guy.. Obviously Democrats because the dumbs dont want to face reality and want to believe the lies Republicans tell them.. I guess we dont call them gullible for nothing... I guess they can blame Democrats when they lose their jobs.. |

Recently Arizona has shown us what all state governments are about in the end, making you as reliant on them as possible to keep you in the system and to keep you paying to feed their machine! Arizona started making self-sufficient it solar households pay a fee. A penalize people for for being smart, saving money & being self-sufficient. Like WTF?? |

Aside from the political nonsense this is a great development. Photovoltaic and wind power are now in many cases as cheap as fossil fuel. The sooner we begin to transition to renewables in earnest, the better. The hidden costs of fossil fuels far outweigh the benefits.

When I lived in Co, I actually worked for a coal industry company. They developed one of the "clean coal" systems that was installed in coal plants all over the US. (Clean Coal is of course bullshit because the carbon injection system pulled the Mercury out of the smoke before it hits the air but then you have all this carbon laced with mercury that they have to do something with. (the great idea by the coal industry was to inject the mercury laced carbon into fracking wells.. When I started there was over 300 people working there, tons of engineers and high paying jobs. By the time I left there was 50 of us left. They saw the writing on the wall. They had a choice spend millions developing newer tech for a dying industry or lay everyone off and sit back while the board of directors raked in the 800 million a year residual income. Obviously they laid everyone off and laughed all the way to the bank.. I've known for a long time even then that coal was dead. No one is building new coal plants, not even China. The simple fact is wind, solar and natural gas is cheaper power to produce. Coal is quite simply too expensive so the market has spoken.. Trump and Republicans are just selling lies to gullible fools who want to believe them..

The hold the power companies have on politicians is criminal. They should be forced to go Green or be shut down.
Trump is 100% wrong on this and stupidly proving it. But none of it happened overnight with Trump, it's been an ongoing scandal for decades. |

The more people. The more solar panels.
Why do people want easy and better solutions to saving the planet? We demand that cheap goods are available in shops and ignore the pollution they create. That power be as cheap as possible, drive cars for too big, want gas at prices we can waste, etc. I could go on but you get the pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() The costs of not taking drastic action is terrible. Or maybe there is no"Saving the Earth" and we live life to the full. |
