The last movie was such a pile of shit it drained all my Star Wars excitement.
Pity. I hope this one is decent, though i just don't have the same interest anymore. They fucked up so bad with "The Last Jedi"

What the fuck is with all these movies about scrawny little broads that save the world/universe?
The last Star Wars movie had: a. 1 old broad bitching about a man being a hotshot pilot. b. A gender studies professor that was an Admiral c. A villain named "Snooky." (yea that scares the shit out of me) d. An intergalactic horse race??? e. A fat Chinese broad telling her black boyfriend that love will save the day f. Luke Skywalker = Jullian Assange g. A scrawny broad that never studied jack shit suddenly able to USE THE FORCE h. All the alpha males were either killed(Solo), ridiculed or are villains. Fuck I remember seeing the first Star Wars in the 1970s and thinking it was pretty damn good. But today's shit is so bad that's not even a good porn movie plot.

I always like the trailers for these new Star Wars movies better than the actual movies. They really are well put together trailers. Then when I watch the movie, it's obvious something went wrong.
That little one-off movie Rogue One was better than all of this new trilogy so far. Not one of them had an amazing scene like this which gives all Star Wars fans a chubby. But aside from the fact that it's Darth Vader doing incredibly Darth Vadery things it's just a well shot, perfectly scored, gritty scene that capped off the movie perfectly. There's no moments like this in the last two "big" Star Wars movies. I grew up as a Star Wars fan since I was little kid but I honestly don't give two fucks about it anymore, even though I watch the movies when they come out. But really I could take it or leave it. When Darth Vader's lightsaber clicked on in the dark that Star Wars fan came back to life for a few minutes.

it seems interesting with some of the new things they are adding but it may be too little too late at this point no matter what they do. they had a chance to make it decent but blew that up with focus groups interfering with good writing and character development.
