... but however ... LOTS of adult webmasters want to see it - that must be your target audience

btw. about what amount of money are you talking?

I've informally "pitched" an idea for a documentary about adult webmasters to a few people and always got good responses. I'm not a documentarian though and got sidetracked by narrative stuff.

My idea was to follow one content provider, one cam girl and one big paysite operation for a week each and to interview a few dozen others to get an overview of the industry, especially recent changes. Then cap it off with coverage of Internext.

Also, I wanted to get a booth at internext and conduct 10-15 minute interviews on camera with random people to ask things like how the subjects got into online porn, what the biggest misconceptions about online porn are, etc.

The budget I made for the project was about $300K all in but it could be made for a lot less. If anyone's interested in talking about it, ICQ me at 57042406. I'm not sure I'd have time to be involved but it'd be cool to see, especially if it sold to PBS or HBO.

okay well my pitch for a fiction film would be to follow a wife setting up her own site. There is comedy possibilities there, drama between the couple and well of course naked women. Even better if it was made a mature woman/housewife that wouldn't necessarily be expected to be a model. Perhaps she keeps if from her family, etc.

I've thought about an adult webmaster movie idea for quite some time now.

I would personally love to see a movie that basically explains the adult industry and the interactions between everyone involved which could be used as a teaching tool to put a more positive view out.

Picture a Snatch or Boondock Saints style of directing, where you have different situations and then those situations eventually come together.

Picture those situations as networking waiting to happen.
You can have a content producer doing a photo shoot,
You can have a content producer doing a video shoot,
You can have a graphic designer, a programmer, a gallery reviewer,
You can have a large affiliate program office area and see many actions there,
You can have the TGP/MGP/Link list site owners,
You can have a convention going on somewhere else,
You can have a little party gathering,
You can have conversations of what happens when a child pornography site is found, or a cheater, or someone fraudulent is found..
etc..

Linking them all together in a fast paced environment, while of course showing titty and ass. Use your imagination.

Cheers,
Matt

Well, if anyone ever gets to the stage where it's really going to happen, I have the largest documentary video library ever collected in this biz. Just go through the D$ Show one day and try and view all of my clips, it would take weeks or months, lot's of shit. http://www.d-moneyshow.com.

Shit, webmasters are my content.

There is another documentary in production that I've been a small part of, a bunch of webmasters have already been interviewed. If anyone wants to come to LA to be filmed about their stories about this business, e-mail me and I'll put you in touch with these guys. It looks good so far, I've seen a rough trailer. RogerV, Jonathan Silverstein (former IEG and CE president), KB, myself and a bunch of other webmasters talking shop.

My e-mail is [email protected] if anyone is interested.

I guess you might sell a few hundred dvd's to some webmasters off a website. But I can hardly see anyone else willing to watch such boring shit.

However I will be willing to appear and act like a dumbass by having my voice scrambled and made to be a character that is in the dark in all black where you can't see me and then I'll just say a lot of stupid shit to spice things up. I'll implicate everyone from the mob to cia in the biz.

its not all about sitting in front of the computer for 18 hours a day

my friends think i am a rock star with the life i lead... always going out to clubs and bars recruiting talent and traveling all over the place to party and hang out in fun places

getting to ride in small airplanes in Las Vegas (thanks again Lightspeed)

going to South America to shoot latina models...

its not boring at all

shooting people having sex 4 days a week is exciting to the masses also
documentary sounds great
i have no money to contribute but i would gladly help out in planning it

You Bastards!

I am actually thinking of what storyline would work.

I think it should be a period piece......take the industry at its absolute peak....1999 - 2000 the place was the Wild West....you see people literally blow up and dry up in 6 months.

There was a time when every party at the convention was an ego game....who could out do the other. It was a day when the newbie Webmaster was courted like an immigrant at a car dealer. The market was still open and the money was flowing FREELY.

Millionaires by the dozens who were people you knew as regular guys/girls just a year before. The parties, the cliques, the power trips the cars..... It was fascinating.

Guys like Seth...Schuster...Edmonds...the lottery guy etc.

It was truly a script waiting to happen

]I am going to see if I can get some heat on that ....lol you never know people like to have the suspension of disbelief....in this case they may find themselves riveted at the storyline of one day a burned out corporate drone to next day jet setting the world....and man the scandals were fantastic....marriages ending porn stars hooking up with this person that person hooking up with this person people taking lists to other companies the whole thing was just crazy

Don't laugh...... I"ve heard rumors someone is writing a book about the industry - and is naming names.
