owncloud is easy to setup and works great!
Early releases weren't that stable and I had smaller issues, but I haven't had any problems for more than 2 years now.

Owncloud was all but stable. With each new update, the frontend got corrupted, so it was virtually impossible to have an up to date system. I was trying to use it for a few months, but eventually quit. Nextcloud was the same, so just decided to go with a commercial solution instead.
