so-called DMCA

Hey! I’m a product manager and our team helps creators of TV-series to shield content from unlicensed use (the so-called DMCA). We are developing our services for the adult industry to protect websites from content leaking and automatize takedown removal.

I am sure that there must be someone on the forums who is well-experienced in the matter of private data leaking. Could you share your experience (bad or good) on the topic? It will be really cool.

We are just at the beginning of this journey for the adult industry and are open to any comments and insights.

You should try to understand the the tech. before making up shit like "automatize takedown removal"

What is a "takedown removal"? You want to takedown a removal? I think not. You are missing a few important words here, and it shows us you just name drop to cheat clients into your "pay upfront" service

Also, MOST of the naysayers here are probably making money from stolen content. Pay no attention to them !

"automatize" I don't like the sound of that.

Usually results in legitimate affiliates with licence to use content getting hammered with DMCA's.

If you can develop DMCA automation that can detect legitimate use

Perhaps sponsors should make affiliates submit list of sites they use for promo and add a meta tag to their site, so that when the DMCA bots hit that site they know it's an affiliate and if they still suspect breach it's scrutinised manually.

Yes, that's correct, but not if you create a fingerprint for each video, I don't wanna share the rest on this thread, I think you understand why..

The cost @AWS is about $1 pr 1000 images (listprice), with up to 75% discount, for machine learning-based image matche

... so
- Process all your videos in mpg4 format
- subscripe to all the tubes feeds - rip them if they dont have feeds.
- match 1500-3000 thumbnails to any frame in your ML model (dont matter how long the videos are) for $1
- for every match, you create a ticket in your ITSM (any SaaS out there) that autocomplete the template, and send it to the copyright notification email
- Pay asians to handle Tier1 cases - Escalate any cases that dont get a reply to Tier2 where you have actual thinking human beings

Those 3-25 bucks a day are a better spend that way, instead of hiring a bullshit agent that will only piss off your affiliates.
... adopt or die

What major points would you personally suggest to focus on?

I am a content maker and own a VOD site. I have MOST of my movies pirated by various nefarious tubes and file sharing sites. However, I am NOT a geek so I do NOT undesrtand how it all can work.

Years ago have hired manual "up-loader" to post short watermarked clips to legit tubes as promotion for our site. We also employ a person who manually scans Internet daily ( using various combinations of our domain and titles of the individual films) for our stolen content and is authorized to issue DMCA notices. So far so good.

In order NOT to cause our legit tube clips to be DMCA'd we have a simple policy:

1) Any of our content on any file sharing site is DMCA'd without exception.
2) Any of our content which is NOT watermarked anywhere is DMCA'd without exception.
3) Any tube content which is watermarked and shorter then 15 minutes is deemed legit.

I have NO idea what your plans are and how to plan to figure it out, BUT:

As a step 1) If you can figure out some sort of auto scan of domains and titles and ID the sites which illegally post them would be the biggest step, since the manual search is too slow and exacting.

Then as a step 2) some sort of automated form which would include link(s) to stolen content ( see step 1) and DMCA notice would be of the essence. ( there would have to be human interaction between step 1 and 2 in order to avoid erroneous take downs).

The last step ( step 3) would likely have to be manual/automated tracking of the actual removed ( or ignored) content. This would have to have some sort of human intervention.

Anyway, as I have said I have NO clue if any of this is at all feasible, but looking at the whole thing:

Step 1) would have at least 50 % of the value of the service.
Step 2) maybe 30 %
Step 3) about 20%

If you have any questions fee free to ask

A couple of the bro companies on GFY are pretty notorious about pissing off affiliates sending automated DMCA's to Google. I'm about to remove one of the bigger sponsors from my tubes completely if they don't get their DMCA company in check. I'll recommend one of their competitors first, though, as they actually have a brain.

Your tech will most likely not be suitable for the porn industry. If I have a tv series, say game of thrones, we know that shouldn't be streamable anywhere other then a whitelist of sites like hbo or wherever else I might license it to. If I have a porn video, that can be on thousands of affiliate websites and without any kind of whitelist. Any content producer using your service will just piss off affiliates with DMCA notices because you won't be able to tell apart who is allowed to have it and who isn't

Are you telling us that a legit content provider (a few few examples):

VivThomas
MetArt
Lesbea
Ifeelmyself... and 1000s of others.....

....will give its full content to be shared BY affiliates on a bunch of tubes just to get some traffic? List ONE and I will assure you it will be DMCA'd in minutes.

As I have said above, here are rules for our content:

Quote:
1) Any of our content on any file sharing site is DMCA'd without exception.
2) Any of our content which is NOT watermarked anywhere is DMCA'd without exception.
3) Any tube content which is watermarked and shorter then 15 minutes is deemed legit.

As I have said above, here are rules for our content:
No, I'm saying that a legit content provider will provide clips for their affiliates to use on THEIR tubes, as well as in some cases watermarked full videos to larger affiliates, which will get caught on automated DMCA software.

1) Any of our content on any file sharing site is DMCA'd without exception.
> How do you disintinguish a tube from a filesharing site in an automated manner?

2) Any of our content which is NOT watermarked anywhere is DMCA'd without exception.
- What if someone encodes your watermark on it?

3) Any tube content which is watermarked and shorter then 15 minutes is deemed legit.
- What if someone does Part1, Part2 etc?

As I have said to the OP, I am not a geek so I do NOT know if it is possible

2) Any of our content which is NOT watermarked anywhere is DMCA'd without exception.
- What if someone encodes your watermark on it?

If he keeps it under 15 min in length I will send him a Thank You note

3) Any tube content which is watermarked and shorter then 15 minutes is deemed legit.

I believe that is so 90ties Today, the thieves do not bother. They just steal it all or move on. As today's example: I have run into a guy who has over 1,000 pages ( x 15 movies/page) of stolen content on a single website. ( He may have many websites we have NOT yet found). Most adult websites are fully ripped off. This assehole has even the audacity to advertise it as " my movies" and the site has a copyright logo. Why would he bother with Part 1,2 etc....He is even lazy to steal it by himself, he gets some software maybe even pitched here by guys like Patadeperro to do even the stealing for him while he sleeps
My final comment is: You cannot stop this any more then any other plague pandemic, you can only try, celebrate small victories and hopefully convince few that stealing damages everybody eventually.

And BTW : If you give me ONE link where any legit website gave a full video to any affiliate to post at will I will buy you a beer !

This challenge was for k0nr4d, but feel free to join.... ONE link to a full video without watermark ( not just 10 min clip) given by a legit website to some affiliate. This will get you the best beer they have upstairs at UNO bar at Palladium ( may even throw in a pizza ). But even if you win, you must wait until there is less then 10 new Covid 19/day, R factor under 0.5 and hospitalizations less then 30. Wife's orders....
BTW I believe you are due a beer from me from last year? If you are, then you can wash the pizza down with 2 beers.

It's enough to look at all the official pornhub channels for paysites. They are giving them full videos. Many are watermarked, many are not. There's quite a few there, will my beer be delivered in a truck with crates or in a tanker (need to know so I can buy some oil drums for storage)?

Privacy Advocate. Your marketing is just bad.

Name, URL, Linkedin?

You didn't convince me.

And BTW : If you give me ONE link where any legit website gave a full video to any affiliate to post at will I will buy you a beer !
Pretty much every big pay site does this all the time. Policies differ from sponsor to sponsor, but usually if a scene is two years old and you're big enough, they'll allow a couple full lengths every x period. In other cases, they'll send you one themselves if trying to do a big promo or similar.

But that's probably why they're big and you're irrelevant.

If you jut keep repeating the same thing and not providing a link, your beer in a bottle, barrel or a tanker will be quite stale by the time you get it, good only for to water your garden. Also I do NOT consider 11 minute clip ( as I have said above) as a full video.

To qualify for a fresh and good beer I still need a link to a real video without a watermark

Can you spell a "link", and NOT just bla bla about couple of videos in any x period or relevancy?

I will gladly put you into the beer queue if you send me a "link" to a legit producer ( I have listed some of them above) who gave a full video to any tube just for fun

"legit" must mean to you "fading out of relevancy".

You can literally browse channels on xvideos, xhamster and pornhub and find hundreds of examples. I did the above in about a minute.
