Any hosting company that let their clients use stolen (or any other illegal) content while ignoring requests to take action become an accomplice in crime.

Any hosting company that ignore take down requests is part of the thievery. At least in EU.

Those are the basics of law. Knowingly providing resources to commit crime makes anyone an accomplice in crime. If they are aware they serve a client proven to be publishing illegal materials (be it stolen content, CP, obscenity or say nazi symbols etc.) and they ignore it despite having the proof, they are liable.
