Don't expect much of a resistance to Age Verification from the industry

The people responsible for this problem are Pornhub, Xhamster, Xvideos and the other tube sites. Their business models were based on theft, marketing to children and money laundering. You should expect them to roll over on this issue and throw the creators under the bus. The annoying part will be the hypocrisy of how they did something pointless but it magically protects everyone and makes the industry a better place

1) Still crying about tubes as if YouTube didn't exist is lol.

2) Saying the companies blocking whole states over these laws want them is lol. They already won while you were asleep.

3) There's nothing you can do to stop these laws. Bigger organizations have already tried so lol.

Pornhub was actively deleting any videos with a .com watermark for years... but you could VERY easily find, uhhhh... "suspect material" on Pornhub and when I reported it... it wasn't even taken down!!

When they start pushing age verification on all social media, i don't think they stop at erotic sites.

First pushback is needed from organisations in favor of anoymous internet. But for now governments want control over everything. You can fight it, cost you a few years. If AVS is so bad for business, than most will be disappeared already. Germany has AVS for long time, that might be the reason surfers mostly went to international sites instead of german sites., but some german sites survived. And for sure the tubes created a lot of attention. But so does onlyfans.

The industry lost the brain power it once had.

It’s not about porn. It’s about control. The first step in brain washing is to get someone to agree with you on 1 thing. Children. Sure, let’s protect children. Next thing the fbi is at your door for criticizing israel. It’s not about porn, dude. It’s about control and censorship.

Absolutely! It should be made VERY clear who's responsible for this mess. Not, that anyone will hold them accountable. But it might make a small group of people think twice before sucking them off again for pennies.

Also, I'll make it clear that youtube is NOT my compitition. But again, let's deal with the most probable truth. Youtube is, without a doubt, one of the corporations who have lobbied (paid) the government to impliment the upcoming dystopian censorship.

We're not blocking anyone. Someone wants to block us then they can do it honestly. Install a giant firewall and lock us out of their market. Why would someone want to make it eaiser for them?

I expect the porn industry to do exactly what it's done for the last 25 years. NOTHING!! I also expect the public to do exactly what it always does. Be cowards and pretend to enjoy the butthurt. In our case, we're just looking to for possible contacts who have a similar approach to business. (After all, you can't trust cowards)

There's also no bigger organization trying to stop these laws. They're playing the tax exempt game and asking billionaires for handouts. Their Chairmen/CEOs live in mansions and rub elbows with the politicians and oligarchs.

UK Online Safety Act

...political posts, including those from sitting Members of Parliament, have been hidden from the public under the law’s sweeping age verification and content restriction rules.

https://reclaimthenet.org/uk-online-...olitical-posts

It's more than just hiding body parts.

The workaround is hosting location and vpns, many of which are free.

Project 2025 as a few morons here will say. This is everything they wanted. Every time a politician says something crazy it’s an A/B test.

None exist. Its not about pushing the envelope. Its about what they do when they are caught pushing the envelope. They put their money and their liberty on the line. I haven't seen anyone personally do that in over a decade. Maybe 15 years.

When was the last obscenity prosecution. John did it. And Max did it. Ira did it.

It will be interesting to see what XVideos does in Florida. They talk a big game in a blog post about AVS but now that they've been sued, lets see if they fold or they fight.

Max didn't want to get arrested. On paper he had all the interstate distribution liability with his distributor. Gov just fucked him.

r.i.p.

What you posted is so dead on that it filled a graveyard.

Look at the conversations on here. There's almost no discussion on how to either fight the bullshit or circumnavigate it. What's going to happen in today's so-called "porn industry" will be a whole lot of people bending over for the ass fucking and then later filling out job applications to be a Walmart greeter.

To be fair, I wouldnt put that fight on the people who post here. I am talking about the so-called leaders of the industry now.

There's a whole lot of people who do not make enough to fight. But the larger companies in this industry can go toe to toe with the government now.

John, Max, Ira and the others who were prosecuted never made what Pornhub, XVideos, XHamster, Streamate, LiveJasmine... ect now earn - in a month.

They can fund litigation across several states. But they chose not to because they believe being set up offshore somehow protects them.

Digital ID is the next pandemic. Even if we want to resist it, if governments are going to roll it out, just how does anyone resist? It's basically already guaranteed. The industry just needs to adapt to whatever government wants to make the xxx industry into. There is no resisting, there is only becoming more SFW on the non-paid internet.
