I'm too disgusted to even make a video of it.
I bought some large Lima beans off Amazon.

After 3 hours of cooking some large Lima beans with rich gravy and I'm ready to eat and spread it over my rice but then I notice something.

It doesn't look like the normal spices I use, so I paused and thought, "maybe I put something else in this time".
But I have nothing else! I use the same shit every time.

So I look closer and notice the shape and color...FUCK!

I just cooked up some beans and made them swell and so did the dehydrated maggots!

Damn!

What a fucked up night of making dinner.
3 hours of cooking a bag in beans that was full of invisible dehydrated maggots.

I broke my ass to make jerk chicken and rice to go with it.
But now all I want to do is shots of booze because I actually tasted this shit before I realized it was maggot stew with beans.

Fuck.

Do you have something against all-natural protein? Sounds like you got the deluxe bean package. And let's be clear, Lima beans require a special taste. Why wouldn't you be using black beans, red beans, or black-eyed peas? With maggots of course.

Yes, you can discard the maggots and sometimes pretty small stones between the product after the wash and cook the beans or buy a better quality (you always need check) is just bad luck and low quality product or buy a can of beans (more expensive) and mix with the rice, the vegans will not miss the meat.

Interesting you guys have beans with rice, that's something I never do, I'd serve instead of rice.

White Lima beans cooked up in an Italian style tomato sauce are great, with seafoods or meats.

And yeah meat, I'm not really phased if I have it or not, I eat a couple of times a week at most.

My best discovery recently is Miso paste, I've tried packet stuff many times and restaurants and never really liked it but recently I brought some off an old Japanese guy at a market near me and he makes it fresh and wow its amazing.

That sounds borderline PTSD inducing, LOL. I was invaded by weevils once, fortunately did not eat them, but man that was nasty when we discovered the mess they made. Had to throw out most of my pantry.

I eat black beans literally every day, from Sam's Club, have never had issues with stones or bugs. Though occasionally a batch goes bad long before it should, horrible ammonia smell, but could never quite figure out why.

That's why I go to the local market and buy everything in person. I check every fruit, vegetable etc before I buy it.. for me, buying food online is always a risk...
