Do you put it through the automated car wash or clean it yourself?

One of our neighbors decided to drop concrete and rocks on the street to fix the potholes, but didn't give any consideration to all the neighborhood vehicles that were parked so they're all covered in concrete dust.

I'm too lazy to wash it by hand, so was thinking of a drive-thru car wash, any experiences with them as a truck driver? Good idea? No?

You should NEVER put your car through an automated car wash, it ruins the paint
I wash my cars with pressure washer + active soap.

I usually wash it by hand, the problem is this concrete dust is starting to set as its been a day or two so was thinking as a one-off a automatic car wash with those brushes might be able to get it off the windshield and paintwork better than my spending 2+ hours scrubbing it will

Concrete won't set without water and mixing, Just pressure wash it off, you won't even need to scrub.

I ended up finding one of those jet wash places and after $2 and 5 minutes got all the shit off without having to run it through an actual car wash

Same here, when I bought it they offered free oil changes and car washes for life

I have an older Acura that my kids already destroyed the paint job on last winter when they realized that the snow (with mud in it) melted really fast on the black hood with the sun on it. They continued to swirl snow all over the hood scratching the paint. Now when it needs to be cleaned they break out the hose and sponges and clean it for me. It's not like they can do anymore damage (famous last words) to it and it's paid off so I don't really care.
