I'm glad they went more cartoony, it would be hard to make it look realistic and good using the same old engines and newer textures.
That being said, I think the right way to go here would have been to remake the maps and missions in the GTA V engine like various mods were trying to do. These are 20 year old games, so it's just lipstick on a pig. I'll pony up the $60 though.

Better textures can not make such an old games fresh again... Especially - when the game engin is the same and nothing changed in gameplay.

Abt 15 years ago.
The guys running GTA back dated their stock and got caught. Fronting for his father, the son was in charge of the company when the case broke, and the son died a few years later. Their PR guy got caught in a UK pedo rap and died in prison.
