Has anyone here watched and followed The Boys?

I liked it very much and looking forward to season 3!

Also loved how the "superheroes" were presented as assholes, narcissist and arrogant fuckers

which, if they really exists, would be a totally real behavior for them, they are all humans after all

and no one dared to make something like this before

Everyone constantly showed "superheroes" as good guys, why?

And like when Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg teams up, there's always something interesting to watch, and Karl Urban, aka "Billy Butcher" with his catchphrase "Fucking Diabolical" and Antony Starr aka "Homelander" with his asshole and lack of empathy attitude are portraying their roles perfectly!

I liked the boys, but it was hindered somewhat by my inability to play it on my TV so I had to watch on the PC. I've since got a firestick though, so amazon prime is working correctly on my TV now

Love the show. 100% accurate of what the real world would be like with superheroes in it.

Amazing... it doesn't seem more than six months since the last one, but it was apparently last October. Time flies when you're getting old.

Because the US is basically North Korea with better PR. Comics had to conform to a narrow code or risk the wrath of government or advertisers and weren't taken seriously as adult literature or art until an influx of writers from the UK in the 80s, people brought up under a far wider political/cultural spectrum (Trotskyite/anarchist/anti-establishment/satirical/punk), who were interested something a bit deeper than "truth, justice and the American way".

Urban is great in everything but his "British" accent is certainly fucking diabolical. I mean Jimmy McNulty level bad. Starr is also brilliant, and it wasn't until season two last year, and only because I read it and checked IMDB to verify it, that I was amazed to realize he played the Sheriff in Banshee. If you haven't seen that show, BTW, do so, it's excellent.
