Breaking into the industry in my 50's.

Hi folks,
Firstly I'm realistic about things. Some of you may have read my recent post about my younger girl older male porn thoughts - this is something for certain I'd like to get off the ground one day, but in the meantime I feel I really need to be involved with a studio or individual in some way to hone my skills and ability, get a good view of things from the inside and make some realistic plans and goals.

I have experience with video editing, photo editing, websites etc, so I'm not completely green. I have a lot of photos and video I took in the past, mostly between 2006 and 2014 - but I've never been able to get a foot in the door of an esbtablished studio / adult production company. I did apply to a large adult business in Surry over 10 years ago, that was for such things like taking photos of the various models and a lot of photo editing plus making sure all the ID was up to date. Now I'd see myself more as a general dog's body although I'd like to do more video and photo editing, even writing (assuming there are scripts!) - directing to some extent appeals as well.

So here we are. I'm 56 and trying to be realistic. I can see that helping some get a business off the ground as a partner could be viable, and in the past some women were keen to explore that kind of relationship, but again, for whatever reason it never happened. So, I'm open to advice and happy to post some samples of my work for review here. I'm not getting any younger, but in this industry it seems to me that's not a problem. I've been on this site since 2005 so I've been trying this for some time. Lacking capital has been a problem, but at least I do have some skills in editing etc that could be valuable - so where should I go from here? Any advice is welcome. If you're in the UK , especially if you're near to the West Midlands and interested in working together I'd be happy to talk as well.

Being completely honest, you are really overthinking it, and as such will probably not even ever get started. No need to look for some 'apprenticeship' that doesn't exist... Just get on and do it yourself - The 'Punk Ethos'...

Get some camera equipment - A few iPhones will do to start with, book a model, and off you go. It REALLY is that simple.

It's not even very costly either. I wrote an entire post about starting from scratch and filming your own content HERE

OK, that WAS over 10 years ago, and tbf, the info was on the older side when I posted it... But it's still good today! You say know how to build a basic website, and how to join up some pieces of video etc... That's all you need to know! Just DO IT!

So these days, instead of looking for forums, you have twitter, you have reddit, you have facebook, you have instagram etc etc etc, and provided you tone down the explicitness of what you post, you can reach millions of potential customers, with just a few mouse clicks. Much easier than when I was shooting...

Just book a girl, film some stuff, see what you can do with it, then do it again. Thats the way to do it in the UK in 2022

spend 400 on a second hand decent camera, ask a few models if they want to do share content, you take content for them and they model for you for free and then start up a website on ModelCentro: Award-Winning Paid Fan Club Platform

We have a few content producers that quite literally use phones attached to selfie stands and sticks that are positioned around the model while she is fingering herself, we get a ton of decent quality content that sells.

Shit, go with a higher quality, but more cost effective Android device and head to Walmart to grab a light ring and a couple of selfie sticks/stands are you're golden.

Then hit up the personals sites for models or, as mentioned above, one of the local hookers.
