![]() When filing for a UK LTD company at Companies House, do I also need to file any tax documents or request any from Inland Revenue?
Any advice would be appreciated on the best to do this.

It is not the answer you are looking for, but I suggest that you find a small town "chartered accountant" in the UK. A decade ago, we had two UK based companies, where we managed the general bookkeeping, and then provided the details for the local CPA to file with the authorities. I'm going on memory but I think it costed no more than the equivalent of 600-700 USD for both, at the time.

As a UK person who knows people who have set up LTD companies in the UK, they way they did it was via an accountant.
It would be pretty much standard practise to just get an accountant to do it on your behalf - Not only will the register the company for you / on your behalf but will also advise you and setup everything you need for covering your tax liability. There's nothing that says that you HAVE to use an accountant to set up a company. Its more a case of why wouldn't you? RANDOM PAGE FROM RANDOM ACCOUNTANCY SITE REFERENCING WHAT I SAID ABOVE |

Once your Ltd company is trading you have to notify the HMRC, and register for tax services (Corporation, VAT, PAYE, etc) appropriate to the company. You'll also have to file an annual return to companies house which is just to confirm your company's setup and activity.

When we run a ltd company in the UK & here in Spain we have an accountant... when running a business, you want all your tax, vat & paperwork done right and an accountant does it right ![]()
