I believe for prostitution after an official arrest, you may be detained for up to 13.5 months before formal charges are made and the case is transferred to the court (you may be given bail under certain circumstances). Research shows that China may not have laws set up and are seeking to create them since they were honestly unaware of the problem. That being said some girls have been let go while others were fined but law makers are still figuring it out

Do not believe anything you read or watch on media, china is a country like all other countries in the world, they also have prostitution, porn and it is a normal thing as it is in the whole world.

That's why I asked, because on one side you have these communist rules and regulation, on other I see girls like Naomi Wu who walks on the street practically naked. Same with webcam girls. Its illegal on mainland, but most of those models do have mainland accent.

Naomi is an engineer who happens to dress sexually. She's pointed out urban culture in her area really doesn't mind dressing sexy in public and she's safe when she walks on the street (probably safer than Hollywood). It's also no secret that's she's gay. That's not a problem either.
