Why would I hold a certificate that proves knowledge that was not provided? You could as well buy a brown belt from spoorting goods store that looks like karate belt. As a person with a post-graduate degree, I agree that college "education" is largely a scam. It really depends on the degree and individual's focus. College can still be done cheaply and timely - spending "decades" collecting degrees is foolish. Many simply hide from the real world in school, accruing student debt that will never be paid. Universities and colleges are more than happy to take your money.
