Band of Brothers DVD Set

Anyone have that shit, I watched the last couple episodes but never saw the begining. It looks like it was a pretty kick ass show.

Hi,

Bought the dvd collection when it came out.

Nice case, and 2 1 hr. shows per dvd.

Well worth the cost

Yea it's a nice set, specially the cool box set in the tin.

You definately have to watch the whole thing from the beginning, you really get to know all the characters. My wife hates war movies and she really like it.

Edit: oh yea I got mine from the CEVault! Woooo!!

Hey Digipimp -

BOB wil be the best $72 bucks you've ever spent (I got mine at Costco)

I don't own any other DVDs, but after seeing it on HBO when it came out, I had to have it.

Well worth the investment - having surround sound isn't absolutely necessary, but it's tricked out with it .

Some of the best money I ever spent on DVDs was for that set.

What the fuck is Band of Brothers?

Sounds quite homoerotic.

Should I be concerned?

This show kicks ass.

Whats the deal with it?

Is it a HBO series? If so is it new and when is it normally on?

This could replace my Soprano's fix if this is the newest HBO series...

Yeah man I've been watching it the past couple of weeks to see the first episodes since I only caught the last two. The show is the shit, it's not new it's a couple years old and not on anymore. I checked it out and you can get the set brand new on HALF.com for like $60 shipped.

DVD set is all ten episodes (two one hour episodes per disk) plus a bonus disk with the documentary, "We Stand Alone Together - The Men of Easy Company, 506th PIR" - which in itself is kick-ass with all of the interviews with the actual guys the characters are based on.

So six disks in all, and best watched starting from episode one.

HBO has been kicking some ass with their original series - it's what TV should be.

I am a huge WWII fan, and The Band Of Brothers just rocked.

The first DVD kind of dragged......

But my favorite was the last one - if I recall - when they had settled into Germany after the war had ended, and they were holed up in the resort town used by Hilter and the Nazi government. The best scene was when the brought one of the officers to a house that had a huge wine cellar....

The first one doesn't "drag."

It just gives you the back story so you get to know the guys involved.

Watch it from beginning to end including the final dvd We Stand Alone Together, The Men Of Easy company. I've got the set as well, and have been watching it again over the last couple of days. Great stuff.

Yeah i second that.. U gotta watch them in order or some things just dont make sense..

My favourite episode was the one about the concentration camps.. That was that fucking realistic that i actually threw up..

You know we are the only species on the planet that cannot keep itself in perfect balance with nature, and we are the only species on the planet that finds pleasure in killing another living thing..

I dont know whether im horrified that a similar WW2 will never happen again, or that if it does, it will be done by egotistical maniacs like george bush junior and that all that is required is a push of a button.

but yeah Band of Brothers is the best series that has ever come out of HBO !!! And it makes you think !!
