First I ever heard of SEGuru was about 4 years ago. He was touting some directory he was a top editor in and telling everyone if they listed their sites they would get tons of SE traffic.

The directory was DMOZ, and many adult cats only had a couple of sites in them. People who listend to him that time made out like badits. I know I did, and the info didnt cost me anything.

This guy charges $29.95, not only is he making a profit but now he's working with dozens of imformed, and usually grateful and loyal webmasters that will do more biz with him outside of the "educational" sphere. You can try to exploit the entire internet yourself, but it's nice to work with other people...

Anyway I'm not saying anyone's formula is "better" or "worse" -- but making blanket statements about information dispersal is pretty tacky IMHO -- unless you are afraid of competition... in which case you better update your strategy

Bahhh - I was one of the first adult editors on dmoz. We still have hundreds of our sites listed there.

Anyways, if you think you'll be spinning SE gold off a 29.95/month membership go for it. And when that fails go back to TGP.

What do you not get about hammers and nails?

I have a member that paid his 29.95 and found a domain in one of my lists. It had existing traffic from its search listings.

I believe he paid $9-$10 for the domain.

So now we're up to a $40 investment.

The site he acquired from my lists, generates 2 to 3 leads per days that he makes $15 per lead.

So in 2 days time, he's paid for his membership at my site, and the cost of the first years registration of the new domain and on day 3...he's seeing ROI.

No, its not monumental earnings on a site by any stretch of the means. However its supplemental income for doing nothing further.

Again, I must fail to see why you don't see the value.
