Brad's the type of guy that says what's on his mind. I like it, even when it makes me cringe.

I don't buy tresuares...more "junk/3rd world debt"
10-12%,
more risky, but at least 8-9% inflation will be good for them and give them profits to pay dividends, and they are not more volatile than treas as of late
;-)))

for money market I use...KGT, AAA rated short term paper yeilding 5.31%, check them out.

Bush spendathon worries me MUCH more than price of smokes

Oh yes I am very familiar with that

but the one difference that is intersting is they went into deflation bigtime and interest rates stayed very low under 1% while our rates seem to be climbing up. I dont know if you can have rising interest rates and deflation at the same time.. But I dont think that you can. So that is one difference..

not really...
Reagan raised the rates to 22% to fight Carter' inflation and succeeded, at the price of 11% unemployment.

Low rates lead to inflation, high rates lead to deflation,
but...
"we are living in intersting times"
and your guess how it all pans out is as good as mine

Serge serious question.. What do you think will come on interest rates over the next 18-24 months

I have been pursuing refinance and morgage stuff but if rates rise it could all be a waste of time..

honestly????

I don't know!!!

one one hand they should go up due to the DEBT of USA government and it's desire to print money like there is no tomorrow,

on another,
economy IS sick and this should keep them down...

YOU make the call of which scenario is more probable...
