Plummer in Da House?
Algae? Hell if I know?!
I was thinking that this problem was centric to our swimming pool. I was cleaning the pool last week and noticed that there was algae growing on the floor of the pool and there was an odor resembling a badly managed freshwater fishtank surrounding it. Just now the toilet plunger fucked up in the main bathroom though and the smell I got off the toilet tank water was similar to that. Toilet tank water should be potable, but I'd not drink this stuff. Anyone here with experience on the subject that might have some helpful advice? Hit me on ICQ 53149406 please if you have experience. This is getting out of hand and I want to put it to a timely end. Thanks!!!

Its possible a large tree's root has penetrated your water lines.

ya know, KRL, that came to mind. One of our sinks is unbearably stopped up too. Being in AZ I figured that Palm Trees and Cactus wouldn't have been able to accomplish that but will check on that for sure. Thanks Much for the confirmation, albiet cursory. :D
Any more folks, do please post responses - This is ICKY!

Its a bitch to fix. First you have to find it then get to it.

roots penetrate sewer lines, if they got into the water feed lines you would notice a difference in water pressure. sounds like bacteria call your local water company and have them test your water.

well the clog that exists is somewhere between the main traps of the bathroom sink and the rest of the house's drains. The bathtub & kitchen and shower(s) work fine. It's just this sink and the one in the Master Bath that are affected. We tried Drano, LiqPlumb and snaking it to no avail. Probably going to have to hire a plumber to clear the blockage.
What puzzles me is why is the pool affected? The pool is fed from the main inline and the kitchen water does not stink of fishtank. This is where my quandry lies. This is one that has befuddled me (not a hard thing to do, lol)

See, I hate my landlords and would never want them to come over here, but this is their dog now. Thank you FootSex, I think you may have nailed it on the head. Ugh, it's gonna get ugly in the Mishi and Venturi household now...
