on a 10mbp line you can only really get 3500BG out in 30 days. I hope you are only signing up 3-4 people

Explain something to me...

You say your machine is on a dedicated 10Mb/s Pipe correct?

So, therefore, 10Mb/s = approx 3300 gigs per month if you push that pipe to the max all month long.

You say you use 4000 gigs yourself... Wich would be impossible on a 10Mb/s pipe.... Even 3000 gigs would be impossible.

My question is: how can you resell 4000 more?

and you sell hosting? sorry to bust your chops dude, but thats what this board is for right....

correct me at any time if you think im wrong.

10 mbp = 1.2 MB/sec
60 secs in a minute = 72MB a minute
60 minutes in an hour = 4320MB a hour
24 hour a day = 103680MB a day
30 days in a month = 3110400MB a month

or 3,110 BG a month on a 10 mbp line, and that is only if your connection is 100% clean and always runs at 10mbp

Yep, no Bull is bang on!
I said approx 3300... but hes got it down to the gig.

Hence, it would be impossible to even do 4000 gigs a month on that pipe.

Unless you have a magic 10Mb/s pipe.

Dunno where you got that but it aint so. Most people wouldnt be able to get much more than half that, assuming its 10mb capped. 1000gb is half or more of what an average 10mb is good for, but maybe they need the 50 bucks really bad.

His calculations are completely wrong!!

10 mbp = 1.2 MB/sec <- wrong!!!

10mbps is 10 MEGABYTES per second.. NOT megabits..

60 secs in a minute = 600MB a minute
60 minutes in an hour = 36000MB a hour
24 hour a day = 8640000MB a day
30 days in a month = 25,920,000MB a month

Man ol man.. basic math

They always use bits to measure bandwidth and there's 8 bits in a byte.

8 b = 1 B
10 Mbps / 8 = 1.25 MBps
