Ebay patent suit lost

Shades of Acacia, Ebay lost 29 million dollar suit for "Buy it Now" button which infringes on patent.

"A Norfolk federal jury decided in May that eBay infringed on Woolston's patents, which presented a way for people to buy items over the Internet for a fixed price. Specifically, the jury said that eBay's "Buy It Now" option, which allows auction surfers to do the same thing, infringed on Woolston's ideas. "

Fuck you moron, I didn't see another thread. Any big breaking news will spawn a couple threads, not everyone is anal enough to check 6 pages before they post.

Sheesh.

The [ Buy It Now ] feature of the auction is what is patented.

Cheers,
Matt

exactly, unless he patended selling auction items at a fixed price, the judgement seems crazy.
