I cannot believe I watched the entire 2 hours of the life story of Jenna Jameson yesterday.

I have to give her major props, she has the intellect and business saavy of Asia Carerra and Danni Ash. It was a real eye opener interview and I guess I have to be nice to Meni now.

Go Jenna, and congrats on your June wedding!

She is what 30 now? What an empire she has built for herself, and what a path she took to get there.

Her mouth looks different as she has aged, thats why I asked about if she had work done. Is obvious she has veneers or something along those lines....

She set out to the the Queen and apparently she has done so. Still dunno why she did not cancel that first wedding when she knew it was a bad idea. Guess being 22 she didnt want to deal with the storybook cancellation.

Where can Jenna go from here now? She has done it all.

her soon to be husband had quite a bit to do with her success as well. he was the one who really put it in her head that she was a marketing dream.

i was surprised at how well she articulated herself. actually i was really proud to say i am in the adult industry after seeing that because she really represented the industry well. i think webmasters who attended the recent convention and behaved like hs kids for the first time out on their own should take notice of how to represent this (your) business.

if anyone really sat back and thought about this industry, in hindsight, there is nothing wrong with the marketing, buying or selling of porn. people have had sex since the beginning of time and will continue to do so. anyone who has taken an anthropology course knows that in most third world or old world countries, sex is conducted in the presense of several other people (as is child birth, menstruation, etc...) and that is not looked upon as dirty but rather embraced. if more people conducted themselves in a fashion that would earn them respect, then this industry would probably have a higher acceptance rate.

i'm not saying that it would be fully accepted but those on the outside looking in would probably believe that adult webmasters, photographers, porn actors and the like have their shit together rather then the utter disarray that is shown by some. those who act so unprofessionally truly give those who are completely professional a bad name by default.

OMG, Carrie I agree with you and your words were well thought out and on the mark.

I thought Jenna handled that interview well and also that interview with that guy that is known to rip folks up.

The show said she was married in June to her live in love of 5 years, Ron was his name? He seems like fun.

I had no idea Jenna was bi and actually had a relationship with another woman when she was younger.

reily is just a hardass by nature. i guess that is why he has his own show. the thing that floored me is that at 17, she was making a night what most webmasters now make in a week (at best). and just like any kid, she took a few wrong turns. i really was not a fan of hers (perse) before i saw that show. although i wouldn't run out and buy her videos, i wouldn't mind seeing her as a spokes person for this industry.

hell if hollywood can have george clooney, bono and bill gates, then why can't we have someone as well?!?

i remember when my grandmother found out i was working in the adult biz. i was visiting her and she was sitting outside (this was on a sunday after church) in her favorite chair. she just had that look on her face and man i thought hell was going to break loose. now to understand why i was so panicky, she was a WASP in WWII, single mother (for that day and age it was a lot to raise a child on your own; judgements were handed down left and right for single mothers), after her military stint, she was an air traffic controller for 30 years. she was/is friends with armstong and the crew that landed on the moon. so you can say she was/is extremely established as a women for her time. it's only fair to say that i thought she would want me to follow suit in some manner.

anyway, she looks at me and says so you're doing so and so huh? i'm like yup, i am. she said that she never thought i would going into a business like this however, she knew that it was very lucrative (i thought i was gonna fall on the floor). she continued to tell me the only things she wanted me to make sure of is that i was happy, profitable, safe and maintained my self respect.

watching that interview last night reminded me of one of the reasons i got into this biz. besides the money, you can still maintain who you are and reach whatever goals you set for yourself. this biz is really no different from banking, brokerage, insurance, etc... there is scandelous behavior in all businesses. i will say this until i die, it is how you present yourself that will earn you respect from your colleagues and even those you will never come in contact with. i will never meet jenna but she has now earned my repsect.

I too was impressed with her taking on Bill O'Reily. That man has made many seasoned politicians squirm.

I also liked hearing that this is something she chose to do as opposed to had to do because of desperate circimstances. I think that is the vision many outsiders have of the women who work in the talent part of the business and Jenna and the other women interviewed refuted that convincingly.

Jenna has come along way and kicked a drug habit as a young teen. It was moving to see how close she and her father are [ex cop], and I also found alot of respect for Jenna.

To think 2 years ago during my presentation at the Players Ball Jenna was sitting right behind me and I never turned around and introduced myself. I figured she was just window dressing, big deal.

Wrong.

Stupid Me.

I look at Jenna alot different than I did prior to seeing that interview to Cass :-)

Now Jenna wants kids, and I have no doubt she will fall short of this dream to. She would be a wonderful Mom.

what do i do? it seems like EVERYTHING....hehehe i am mostly involved with content for our (meaning me and my colleague's) various sites. outside of this, i dabble in real estate but nothing major cause with an economy like this, i want to hold onto what i worked so hard to put away

Been dealing in porn since 1987 via BBS, then went on to glamorize and commercialize adult images on CD-ROM in 1991, and in 1995 brought affordable content to the web [Zmaster], and became quite a mouth in political issues. Lost control of company in a bad business deal that was in court for years, went thru real bad divorce of 16 years and she took me to the cleaners in 2001.

Currently and for some time I have been with CECash, and no doubt is FantasyMan's pain in the ass, and thats part of my charm :-) Very happy with CECash.

Starting to dabble in some side projects that have potential, and I like this pace of work alot better than the first pace I took on early. All the money in the world was not worth the grief I went thru in those times.

I made millions I lost millions, and I can honestly say I like being more humble now looking back :-)

im sorry to hear about a loss like that. i have heard so many people state the same and i cant even imagine what a toll an experience like that must take. i mean i have lost things and money but not to that extent so for you to come out a stronger person because of it, my hat is definitely off to you

i went from ib for a major player on the street to porn. see what a degree gets you? and the funny thing is i still work ridiculous hours. i dont know if this deminishes over time (it's been 6 years at the same pace) or if i should deal with the fact that the pace will always be the same.....oh the trials and tribulations

i wish you much success with your new ventures. i have seen corporations in turmoil but i have never seen an entire industy in such a frenzy as this one. opening your horizon is definitely a smart move and if i were more of a risk taker, i might do the same but as years have tallied up, i am more cautious then ever before.

fm has a good person on his team. i have read your posts here for the last 2 years and i hope he realizes that an intelligent, diplomatic and head strong person is hard to find these days. there are too many people out there who lack the experience but feel they have all the knowledge and when things go wrong, they never step up to the plate. as my parents would say, learn from their mistakes and now i understand why that was thrown around so often....lol

FM saved me from doing stupid things, and stepped back and let me self extinguish vs. becoming a 4 alarm fire once my marriage collapsed and my house flooded which cost $53K to rebuild [had insurance]. Then he booted me in the ass and actually pissed me off which was the challenge I needed to get back into the saddle.

I was 99% out of this business, and did not care, and he did not let me throw away that last 1%, and I have been on a come back the last year since my return. I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad, FM did not let me walk, and held on to me but kicked my ass repeatedly.

It worked.

So 2003 is my year, all the chaos is gone, and I have a whole new life as a single middle aged [46, ick] woman, and love life. Now I find this industry all fuckered up.

It will straighten out, its all growing pains as it continues to mature.

I to have a BS degree in Business/Management and who would have thunk I would go into porn and stay there?

i have to say i am truly impressed. not only do you show yourself as a person (you lay your mistakes and hardships out on the table), you also give credit where credit is due. i can count on one hand (and you make the one hand complete) where i have heard that someone's life being turned is due largely in part to someone elses help. that is such a show of respect, courage and loyalty that is just not seen anymore. i know exactly where you are coming from for if it weren't for the help of my bestest friend in the world (and co worker) i think i would have had a nervous breakdown so i can so totally relate. you are correct, we should have spoken sooner (you have been an inspiration for me to get off my ass and get my work done now....lol; no bs). definitely hit me up on icq anytime you want to talk. it has been a complete pleasure and btw, 46 is still incredibly young
