Tax Evasion

Okay, I want to really ruin someones day, where can I go to report someone for tax evasion?

They have been running their websites under a few different addresses, currently out of the UK, with all of their checks being sent to a US address. They havent declared any of their website income from the past three years. Where can I send an e-mail to the IRS to report this?

I probably wont do it.

However, I only asked this question after the person in question threatened to reveal personal information (including real address, phone number, SSN, etc) during a dispute. Im sorry, you fuck with me or one of my friends, I want the information to fuck with you back.

This is why partnerships suck :-)

Be prepared to pay the back taxes THEY owe. You may be responsible for not reporting them. Talk to an Accountant or better yet, a tax attorney before you do something stupid like that.

They'll audit you top to bottom also.

Plus if the individual ended up being convicted and you've had knowledge of this for 3 years and didn't notify them you're potentially incriminating yourself as well and could possibly end up getting his tax bill if he skips out, since you were paying him.

Plus you're now going to ruin your company's image completely as a sponsor to be trusted by demonstrating this is how you handle things.

What a fucking asshole. You think you were gonna get a way to go..go for it from everyone on that one. I hate fucking snitches. In my opinion anyone who even thinks of ratting someone out on something like that deserves an ass beating. Thats fucking with someones freedom.

KRL is a wise man - listen to him

As far as ruining your companies image however.... oops, too late.

From the bits of information you've posted here, it seems like this is your option for retaliation to the sponsor doing/threatening some F'd up stuff as well...

Who is the sponsor and who is your friend? I'm sure we would all like to know - so we can make notes to never deal with any of you kids.

(I am straight with the IRS btw ...no worries here.)

When I first opened up this thread...I thought it was a question about tax evasion...not a request for how to fuck up somebody's life....

Why would anyone need the government to 'get even'? Seems like a cowardly and nasty way to go about it....

There are plenty of ways to get even...Don't do business with them. Expose them on the boards...anything but utilising an agency that could put someone in jail...and, worse, it can boomerang back onto you...I have heard the IRS will go after the one breaking the rules AND the one who rats.

It's just a sleazy thing to do and doesn't say much about someone's character.

Rooster, it doesn't matter if you cheat or not. If the IRS (or tax office in any country) decides that your number is up you're toast. Reporting someone to the IRS is the financial equivalent of hiring a hitman and consequently it's NOT something you do on the basis of hearsay

Im glad all of yall are fine upstanding individuals with nothing to hide.

This has been exposed to the boards (at least the ones that would care about this individual) so that avenue has been taken.

All of yall laugh when someone jokes about putting a hit out on someone, why is this any different?

With the advice of the first few posted, I realized that this would be a grave and serious step, only to be taken in the most dire of circumstances. I just wanted the option and the knowledge of how to do it. Kinda like, all of us know that putting sugar in a gas tank will fuck with a car. How many of us have done it?

Yes, my taxes are completly in order. In fact, I didnt declare several exemptions that I could have. So, any audit will probably result in my getting more money, or them dropping the case.

I have not had knowledge of them hiding money for three years. I have recently found that information.

so, what other forms of "revenge" would be appropritate? Yes, I am a vengeful person, its in my nature to think of all the evil things that I could do to fuck someone over. However, I havent done any of them. None of them at all. (Well, I did one last night, I reported their paypal account)

We are currently in talks about pursing a legal issue, so I cant really disclose the details of what happened. However, the tax evasion would come out in the lawsuit, why not skip that step? Or, would I be less of a person had I not brought it to the board, and just brought it up in the lawsuit? (I.e. this individual counseled my friend on how exactly they were hiding their money)

Would it have been a lesser threat had I gone to CCBIll and explained how they were skirting the visa fees?
