If they knew at the time of buying the company who owned the patent for streaming media and were planning on sueing companies once they aquired the patent isnt that in itself illegal?

They win most of their cases based on "No Show's" from adult webmasters.

Nobody owns the patent for streaming media. That's the point of this whole exercise. It's public domain!

I thought ALL of their cases were won from "default" judgements? I could be wrong but the ONLY case before a judge with people fighting is HomeGrown and Acacia keeps pushing the court date back.. I wonder why?

The reason is that the one's who didn't fight and who didn't default have agreed to pay a license.
