rename files directely on server??
i want to rename all the files from a folder hosted on server..
for example i want rename all the files from folder "forderxxx" witch contains the word "xxx" (word1-xxx-word2.html) withe the word "free" so the files will looke like this word1-free-word2.html i don't want to do this by FTP and i don't want download the files/rename/upload becouse there are many files.. anybody have an ideea how can i do this with a SSH client ? thx |

you could probably even write a php program
1) Read all the file and build them into an array 2) Read the array and rename each file constant####.aaa or whatever your file is should be pretty simple to write but i'm too tired to do it.
