video editing HELL
Does anyone else think Pinnacle Studio is a big buggy peice of shit?? I go to edit the title overlay to match the length of my video, and when I go back to the clip, the clip is gone! Where the fuck does it go? So I add the overlay yet again, and then it adds a big 15 minute overlay clip to the BEGINNING of the video. And it won't get rid of the 15 minute insert. Peice of shit!! I don't know what I'm going to do about this mess.

pinnacle sux ... go straight fire wire using premiere and huffyyuv codec (avi) just make sure you have big hard drives
premeire will cut it up and do whatever you want, render it out to avi's ready to be processed for the web. for mpeg i recommend tmpegenc for wmv windows media encoder ![]() |

You've tried and failed. The lesson here is, never try again.

I've been using Pinnacle Studio 8 the last 9 monthes or so and still prefer it over Premiere...I have both but use Pinnacle to edit my videos every week.
Never had the problem you're talking about....Have you downloaded all the updates from their site for that version? Regardless, even without updates....never a complaint Ivy |

Bottom line - If you want to edit video get something that can edit video - if you have a PC that means getting premiere PRO, getting a book and learnging to use it. End of story. Otherwise, hire someone. This problem you are talking about is minor and if you knew how to use a program like premiere you would not have it. Education man!

The trick with pinnacle is you have to shut off all unnecessary programs and your antivirus program. You cant run multiple windows . I used it befroe I bought Vegas and it never crashed on me.
