Best Webcasting software/hardware?
Looking to develop a live webcasting show with both audio and video streaming.

Not wanting to use the regular "webcam" type of software that is currently in use by so many live sites. But rather, looking for the best there is that produces great audio & video.

So what software/hardware would you recommend for such webcasting/video streaming?

Really the "best" is proper streaming via something like Windows Media Server or RealServer. This is expensive stuff though - both in fees and in bandwidth. You'll probably want a dedicated box, and a windows box if you want WMS too.

I have yet to see a cam site be successful using this -- though the quality is great.

It is what you see multinationals use for intranet pep-talks from the CEO though. :-)
