Who is incorporated?

Did you go through a service? If so who?

What advantages are you perceiving from being incorporated?

What disadvantages are you having?

Got any tips you think I should know?

From what I've read, people would know that I was the sole employee. Incorporating and not being public I could keep that to myself. All you would see is the letter head.

Ask your accountant or find a lawyer to do it

Definitely talk to a lawyer.. the type of incorporation you chose is important, influences how you will deal with taxes, liability and other issues, which should be why you are incorporating in the first place.

go LLC -- for me in VA, it was as easy as calling the State Commissioner and getting a form off the internet. Helps prevent them from taking all your personal earnings in case anything happens legal wise (and also good financial protection)

I'm incorporated - I did it myself through my state. My CPA told me everything I needed to know: what kind (subchapter S), where to do it, how to do it, gave me the forms, etc.

You can do one of those online LLC deals, they take care of everything, but something bothers me about them for some reason... https://www.llc.com/index.cfm

Probably that they are like the online pharmacies. All of those pages are affiliates of the true program. Nothing wrong with it I guess given the business we are in... but... I dunno... They all have the same website... I would feel more comfortable if they showed some origninality.

Corp. It's a single 5 answer form in Colorado. $25 fee. Somewhat protects your personal assets if you get sued. You can write off everything like hosting, computers, space in your home, etc.

Then file with IRS for TIN.

LLC is easier. A single owner LLc has almost 0 reporting.

Talk to a CPA.
