no I mean 1000yen = $9 is just for the rate of exchange
the prices are various.
from 1500Yen to 16,000Yen. ( $12 ~ $140)
It depends on actress(famous or not), category, realease date, maker name, etc..

for instance, This Video (Hikaru Koto(No.1 current ranking) starring) selling for 16000 Yen in local AV shop.

The unmasked uncensored AV movies can't be sold in a store - you have to buy them 'underground'?

i still don't understand why they don't try to make money in North American and Europe - those are huge markets and there are many people who would buy and rent these movies.

What you see available in Asian section of a North American video store is shit, nothing like these movies.

AV Idol means these girls are more well known in the Japanese Adult industry, and yes they do Hardcore. (these girls rarely do anal though)
