I work for myself. I have a certain standard set for myself. My parents spent a lot sending us to private schools and I had a college scholarship. I don't want them to think I did nothing with my education. I work to someday prove to my overly critical mother that though my beliefs are different, I am smart and determined enough to make something of myself. I like to call and tell her when I bought a new car or my own house. I like to tell her about my $1000 dog or that my stunt motorcyclist boyfriend and I woke up at 1pm and I may start working around 4pm just when she's getting ready to go home from the office. I work to prove that I can work at home, survive and still have what I want without the constrictions of the "working man" who gets up, fights traffic, works all day and comes home unfulfilled.
