![]() Dr. Divx does a pretty good job, and Win Vdr Pro does an adequate job..but just not satisifed with the overall product from either.
Anyone else been encoding/capturing DIVX live that can make a recommendation as to software to use? Thanks! |

We've got a little experience here. What is your source you are capturing from?
Also, what are you looking to do with the final product? When we capture for DivX VOD we usually run through a Digital Rapids capture card and use their software to take it to a Huffy and the VDub or Dr. DivX that file. For the guys here that are using DivX for PVR, they are using mostly snapstream. It can do background 2-pass. The big issue with capturing is that files are captured in 1-pass mode. There may be some slick stuff coming out of DivX on the codec side for capture soon ;), but for now, this background second pass processing is the best bet other than taking it to huffy first. Let me know if you have any other questions.
