Why did FEMA arrive the night before the 9/11 attack?
Dan Rather is interviewing a FEMA agent on national TV. The agent - from National Urban Search & Rescue, part of FEMA - says his group was one of the first to arrive in New York - late Monday night 9-10-01 and went into action Tuesday morning - 'Disaster 9-11' [Real Player Sound Clip]

Why does there have to be a national disaster for FEMA to be someplace before the shit hits the fan?
You should sleep better knowing there are contingency plans and drills run all the time, (and not just by FEMA) preparing for just such a catastrophic event. Would you feel better if they didn't, and left all the command and control to Barney Fife?
