In order to make 'print screen' from W*indows Mediaplayer you have to turn off hardware acceleration
Tools -> performence -> hardwareperformence |

You don't need anything different than you do for capturing avi's and Mpeg's. Just set your acceleration down a bit like this.
 Just keep turning it down till it works.
