It was a good movie just because it is so differnt from others. I enjoy movies that are out of sequence that make you have to pay tight attention.

I was completely sober when I saw it. I don't like those types of movies when I'm sober, guess I better try it again drunk.

You're right. I have no soul. Or profound appreciation for life.

Let me go kill myself now.

Well... I guess you just didn't understand it... It's OK - don't worry about it... Alot of ordinary people don't understand that movie!

One of my favorite films - I agree it is one you have to pay attention to because you can easily get lost - It's not a turn your brain off at the door type movie. Try it again - you always pick new nuances with every viewing -

You can not watch this on TV. They would cut way too much out of it.

good movie, but overrated ;-)

I didn't care for it the first time as it took a second viewing to get used to the non-linear storytelling...

there are two types of Pulp Fiction lovers
those who really enjoyed it, thought it was great and enjoyed the non-linear storytelling along with some amazing dialog and great characters..then you have the second type...they say "it's cool" and "it rocks" because they don't want to seem like the only people who didn't like it...sort of a movie fan peer pressure...I've seenit with Robert Altman films (biggest fucking hack working in Hollywood)

I'm sorry but you ARE a retard as it's #17 on the top 250 films rated at IMDB and is in the American Film Institute's top 100 films of all time

First off, since this is the first time you've seen it...you were deprived of the initial impact the film had. You've heard all the sayings rehashed by everyone...so it's not going to leave a mark in your mind like it to so many others 10 years ago. Hearing Ving Rhames say "I'm gonna get medieval on your ass," 10 years ago was hilarious and about as hardcore as you could get. It's lost it's punch in the years since.

But really, it is very much character driven. Marsellus Wallace and the Wolf were absolute badasses. Jules and Vincent worked off each other, and were great performances in general.

If you have only seen the film once, there most likely several parts that you didn't get every detail in...since there is a lot to see and put in order.

The film is also made in a classic/timeless method. Using 60's and 70's cars, (other than the surreal NSX.) The characters are dressed way up or dressed way down all they way through it...with unique hairstyles, etc. They don't play exactly on any particular era...and the use of the reel-to-reel, etc. just adds to the mix-mash of the film.

There is also a rumored sub-plot to the movie that draws a lot of attention. The briefcase they are recovering supposedly has
Marsellus Wallace's soul in it. You'll notice the bandaid on the back of his neck at the boxing match...where the soul was removed. Then the divine intervention while retrieving the case. And the combination to open it was 666.

You kind of sold yourself short by not watching it for a decade after it came out, but then, not everybody liked it then either. So to each his own, just my

You can check out both sides of it here. It's just one of those things that people continue to believe, but the film people deny.

Hmmm, interesting . . . . I always thought it was gold bars, but thought it was pretty light if loaded with gold. . . and could not figure out how the kids were involved, so then figured it was high grade coke.

Haha. Yeah, just one of those mysteries I guess.

Here are a handful of items other people thought was in the case (according to some random poll.)

The Oscar that Quentin Tarantino hopes to win
A human head
The ear from Reservoir Dogs
O.J.'s other glove
Michael Jackson's other glove
The diamonds from the robbery in Reservoir Dogs
Rudolph's nose
