![]() After 2+ years in the biz, doing free sites, gallery submitting, AVS and working for a sponsor, I am ready to start my own paysite! I've been doing alot of research on GFY the last couple of days looking for a good CC processor. I came up with deciding between CCBill, Ibill, Epoch/Paycom, and Jettis.
Here are my thoughts on each of them: CCBill - most small individual paysites use them, scrubs REALLY hard Ibill - less sites use them than CCBill, stats suck, bashed a lot on GFY; since they got sold, unsure about their future Epoch/Paycom - pretty good rep Jettis - less processing fees than the rest (unsure if this is still true) BTW, I promote a dozen Ibill sites and a dozen CCBill sites over the years. By far I'm getting more sales through IBill. It seems that most partnership programs use CCBill and Ibill and most PPS use Epoch and Jettis. Is there a reason why more small sites with partnerships don't use Epoch? Also, I am in the US so that should expand my list of available processors. I will probably be promoting it myself and maybe allow a few webmasters to as well. Eventually I will get software for a real affiliate program and open it up to more webmasters. At least that is the plan! I know the optimal solution is to get a merchant account and use a gateway like Epoch or NetBilling, but I'm not quite there yet. Any recommendations? And please, no one word answers! I would love some input from paysite owners. Thanks!

Hey
![]() Why have only one? Multiple is the way to go buuud. If you need to talk to someone, I have good contacts over at CCbill and IBill. BTW: Take a look around, some of your old buds are peaking in, LOL ![]() Ray

Just another thought - If you do decide to stay with third party billing companies, use all the main one's and have some backup processors...
Also... I think the general foremost thought is not to let any one processor hold your business - ie .. the recurring biz. If need be have rotating sign up pages to balance the risk :-) |

Guys,
Thanks for all the replies. I'm looking for only one processor initially. I will eventually have backups but don't need them at this time. Just want to get things started. What I'm interested in is what everyone's view of epoch and jettis is? I think those are what I'm leaning toward to.

I agree with the cascading situation for CC processors. Epoch and Jettis are both awesome companies, as is CCBill.
And if I might add, I know of an EXCELLENT check processing company! (see sig ![]() ![]() |

don't count out Verotel as your sole processing option rayzor... but also, do *not* use their freebie "Ticketclub" option, use their "PRO" service or not at all.
they have been kicking ass for sales when many other processors have displayed bad numbers in recent months, and haven't ever missed a wire for us. they are also based in europe so they are inherently more shielded from possible amerikan crackdowns in the future. |

I provide adult merchant account, but we are currently only taking on those who process $100K a month or more, have low CB's, and have been in the business for a while (2 years).
While you are building the biz to meet these stats, 3rd party is the way to go. I have strong ties with Jettis and would highly recommend them. Call Terry Crane @ Jettis 818-597-6302 Let him know Steve from Humboldt Merchant Services sent you....they will work with you and get you going... Can anyone answer me this question: Why do most individual webmasters (1 or 2 paysites) opt for CCBill or IBill whereas most large programs with multiple sites use Epoch or Jettis? Is the reason that it's easier to set up a revshare program with CCBill/IBill?

bump.
Comments about Epoch and Jettis, other than they are solid, seems to be few and far between on GFY. It is because most guys here have small programs and are using CCBill? Is there reason why more small guys don't use Epoch/Jettis? Comments?

It must be because it's the first nice, HOT day on the East Coast and no one's on GFY to answer my questions.

This is why larger programs with their own affiliate software will use them but small sites stick with ccbill or ibill that offer alot more functions in their affiliate software. |

I would call all 3 of the larger ones, ccbill, epoch and ibill. You do not have to use their affiliate programs. you can use your own with any of them. Large companies are with epoch because of the opt out cross sell... keeps the transaction count high and the chargeback percentage low. CCbill/iBill is the way to go now-a-days
