Even when I was in high school and working part time at our local department store in the men's fashion dept, my sales were consistently 3 time higher than any other sales people. I always went out of my way to give my customers personal attention and got to know as many as I could on a first name basis so when they would come in to buy their clothes, they'd ask for me to pick things out for them. I was the only one that would straighten out the department displays so everything was meticulous while other sales people would just sit around pretending to be busy.
Sales is all about impressing potential customers that you know your products, will work hard for them, and will handle any problems that arise promptly.
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my questions, I really appreciate it

But ironically, the most exciting days were not the ones when I said damn I did it, but the ones right before, when I had to reach down in the wallet, dig out the last dollars of capital and lay it all on the line. Those times, when my gut instinct was literally yelling at me not to quit, daring and challenging me to grab my balls and bet it all. When I was on my last ounce of blood, sweat and tears, to keep believing in myself.

Its those moments, when you know betting the farm means risking it all and eating at taco bell every night for a while, that I'll never forget and made all the difference in achieving success.

*********************************************

Actually gambling at a casino is kinda silly and sick. You KNOW you are gonna lose.

With business it is not a "gamble"....it is a "Calculated risk" based on knowledge, timing and your expertise.

Even sadder is that many are more comfortable throwing away $10,000 at a casino table but can't get themselves to "Risk" the same $10k on a business deal with MUCH greater rewards.

Go figure!

I just noticed that as I have aged. I want to make sure certain people are taken care of and it has reduced my love of risk. Which has reduced my ability to make money.

What's the difference between the two dates? I'll attend at least one of them.

Do you have a contact? I'm sure I've emailed webfather@ a few times with no response.

Please email me [email protected] with subject of Webfather so we can chat, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Men.com will make KRL is $100 million easily. He knows what he's doing; he has the experience over me, though I know $100 million is a very realistic goal, with recurring past that. I don't know how old KRL is, though he'll continue to do well at whatever he chooses, and being intelligent enough to put your resources and time where it matters is all that matters. Kudos once again to you Kevin.

I don't think a single domain, in today's highly competitive Internet environment, is capable of that level without partnering with a major billion dollar company which is what I'm in the process of doing right now.

There are exceptions obviously. But far and few between. Men.com can be a $3 to $10 Mil deal, but taking it to $100Mil is not an easy quick task, unless every move I make gets blessed with a lot of extreme luck.

I'm in my mid 40's.

What he said. The obvious question is, if you meet the criteria today - what happens if you stay with her and a few years down the road things don't go so well ... I'd say she's be packing her bags in about 5 seconds flat.

Building a successful long lasting relationship is way harder than building a successful long lasting business.

I love women, but I've yet to find one that can handle my work style which is non-stop. I really need to find an entrepreneurial type gal just like me, but they're always working so you don't meet them out and about.

No, exactly. The domain itself will not bring you $100 million, it is the deals and partnerships and your abilities that will bring you $100 million directly and indirectly through Men.com.

I have 20+ years to get where you're at, my goals are a little tighter than yours, though best of luck to us all and kudos to us all.

Matt

Careful there, she'll be in competition, unless you're in different industries, though entrepreneurs in my mind are in every industry that they see opportunity... might be hard.. might turn out like Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

I had one gal in my 20's I should have married. We were so compatible and everything was perfect, but we met right after my first divorce and I was so not in the mood to get married again. Our relationship lasted 5 years and then her parents were pressuring her like crazy for us to get married and I still just didn't want to do it and that was the end of it. She ended up marrying the CEO of a big broadcasting company.

Sorry to hear. I recently met someone who I think would be a great match; intelligent, business oriented, though she's moving to the other side of the country in 2 months so she doesn't want to get involved with anyone.

KRL, i think we're the same, i am not even in my 20s and i think like that. There's a lot of cacophony that you hear in this world. KRL, i sent you an email, and i still didn't receive a response, and also a ICQ message. I just want to chat with you about something.

Thanks!
