Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed. |

Abuse of 'per-email' programs ... and shadey shit on both ends.
I recently got about 15 "Confirm your subscription" emails saying that at such and such time I entered my email address to receive this porn mail. Most of them from big adult companies who offer per-email affiliate programs.
The funny thing is, whoever did this used a non-existant email address that got bounced to the catchall account on one of my domains. Of course, I notified the affiliate programs and they were greatful to bust this cheater. THE KICKER THOUGH, is that even though I of course never confiemd any of these subscriptions, I am STILL receiving the emails for these lists that I never signed up for. Hmmmmm..... Very fuckin interesting. I also want to reiterate, these emails are not coming from 'spammers', they are coming from a few of the biggest adult affiliate programs out there. Fuckin cheaters increasing the size of my inbox and gettin' paid for it, while screwing over affiliate programs at the same time. ![]() And fuckin affiliate programs, continuing to send me email even though I never confirmed (Even though legit affiliates only get paid for confirmed emails ...) ![]() -Phil |

Of course the affiliate programs use the emails... its how they make money... its not illegal to email them if they are single optin.

But it's still annoying, and would kind of piss me off if I was an affiliate. Unless I was cheating. I just sent 'em another email. "I'm a webmaster, man. I will never signup. Please remove my email / block it from ever being falsely submitted again." Heh. |

Yeah, as far as the surfer is concerned, those "per email" programs suck major monkey balls. They give their email to 1 program, and a month later they're getting 100 emails/day from dozens of different programs.

Old News.
Pay per e-mail has been around forever. Loser only affiliates should apply because you are guaranteed to be cheated. Too bad about the thousands who have in the last 6 years or so. We all suffer today because of them and the SE "submitter"guys who said they'd submit on our behalf and instead sold us out. Low life pricks need to die a lonely, painful death. 90% of my crap e-mail comes from these cannibalistic assholes. ![]() |

getting' em I just reported them 2 the FTC after I ask 2 or 3 times to be removed. I would think the adult companies would get rid of spammers with the can spam, it's just not worth it.
