Digital Keyboards... What is the best? (Pic)
Throughout my search I found this:
http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/...205900,00.html large 1600x1200 image: http://namm.harmony-central.com/SNAM...1000-large.jpg It runs for around $3600, played one at a music store and it sounds great. I'm sure there might be better ones out there, anyone know of one that is more badass? thanks. |

Kurzweil if you can afford it. THE FUCKING BEST, but also the most expensive. Some people say you dont get enough bang for the buck, I disagree. 2600 is a beast that will not be obsolete in the next 5-7 years. It can do ANYTHING you want.
Also look into Yamaha S90, kickass keyboard. Korgs are nice too |

well i'm looking into a keyboard that is exactly like a real piano, and can provide the best "grand piano" sound + have keys weighted just like a normal piano.. i don't care for effects. but I also want it to have the capability of recording music.

If you're looking for a keyboard that sounds like a normal piano and has kickass piano sounds, try these:
Yamaha S90. I believe it has 3 sensitivity zones. I may be wrong though. what it means is that keys on upper end of octave feel lighter than lower keys, just like on real piano. Please go to the store and play this baby. I really like how it feels on fingers but everyone is different. Kurzweil PC2X If you are looking at just piano, don't bother with k2600 unless you want more bells and whistles. It has the same amazing Triple Strike Grand Piano as K2600. Don't bother with KORG unless you get a separate piano expansion. They stock pianos SUCK ASS As a rule, go to the store and try them all out. It's very hard to recommend a piano because everyone has different preference. Some like lighter keys, some like heavier keys. Just go to the store and try them all out. But if you pick up a Kurzweil, you won't be disappointed. Yamahas are good, but some are not as good on the lower end. Higher end Yamahas rule. There are some other good ones but that's my advice off the top of my head ![]() EDIT: if you also want to record music, KURZWEIL PC2X is the WAY to go. It's one of the best MIDI controllers out there (besides having a great piano sound). The newer (black ones) come with orchestral rom preinstalled |
