Well im not 40 yet so I cant tell you. But I can say ive never seen it happen plus I dont think it would happen unless you were a milf.

Yup happens.
When bouncers don't like someone or want to ego-trip, they do the following: 1) Try to enforce dress code. ie. if the littlest thing doesn't match their code (ie pockets on cargo pants), they can refuse you. Normally they let people in who are wearing under their dress code though. 2) Card you. Even if you look 40, they hope you don't have an ID on you so they can reject you for that reason.
