SEO Question: Building up content (mainstream)
I know there are some good SEO guys here, so...
I know one of the fundamental rules to good placement is the amount of relevant content you have on your site. I have several fitness sites, a couple membership based, and I want to drive some traffic to them by way of SE... So what I'm wondering is what're the general legal guidelines that correspond to grabbing content from other sites? I know you obviously can't just rip the content and claim it as your own, but is it seen as "legal" to take the content, store it on your own servers, and provide a very prominent link to the creator-URL in different spots of the article? or is it not? I imagine the "safest" route would be to email the webmaster, but what If I didn't? I don't want to do anything shady, so that's why I'm asking first, I want to know what you need to know ;) Thoughts??? |
