tgp trouble...

Need some help on installing tgp script
all was going well but when it asked me to
put this path in i get an error
Can someone explain pleeease

HTML DIRECTORY
"The full path to the location where the main HTML pages will reside.
Example: /web/home/username/docs/autopost"

open up the directory you want to have your thumb page show up in.

I mean, open it in your ftp program

then, cut and paste the path into the script.

try changing the file permissions on the destination file

it might need to be 646 or 676 depending on the server set up

try changing it from 644 to 777

and then work your way back down until it stops working

777 then 775 755

Yup, sounds like it doesn't have permission to create a directory on your server...which is usually a very good thing!

So what do I do now?

I actually didn't have a cgi-bin
made it myself permissions are set correct

BUT i really think i still got the path
wrong ?!!! I know i am stupid ...


please explain the path thing again !

depends on how your host has the server configured. On my machine, I do not need a cgi-bin, I can put scripts anywhere. Other machines require the presense of a cgi-bin. I beleive some hosts, such as bigfast, or 99.99% of freehosts do not allow any cgi to be used. Safe thing to do would be to contact your host.

I am not using a free host !
sofar i have only found 2 tgp submit softwares sites one of them seems to be down
surly there are more out there..
what is everyone using ..?
