Wow - Changed hosting companies and my TGP took off like a rocket

I won't mention who I was with before, but I sure as hell will mention who I am with now - http://www.global2000hosting.com

These guys are awesome, and yea I know I am on Cogent Bandwidth, but it is rock solid I'll tell you that.. My TGP's have gone from sending 80% back to trades up to 145% back to trades the moment my domain got switched over from my old host to my new one. Service has been over the top, and I couldn't ask for a better price, well under 1/2 of what I was paying before for more bandwidth and my server is twice as fast

So if any of you guys are having hosting problems and looking for a place to go I definitely point towards global2000hosting.com

They also offer non-cogent boxes as well incase you are scared of that.

ICQ him - 22409301 and he will definitely hook you up with a better server and more bandwidth that you get now for less money.

I wonder how much the increase actually has to do with the switch in hosts.

The only difference might be the ammount of traffic you're now able to handle......

If your site got faster on Cogent, then it means your old hosts hardware was not capable of handling your traffic load. Since you were with them for a while, your old P3 at your old host definitely can't compare with your new P4 XEON

What I do know is you left a very rock solid host for a new company. Hopefully they continue to run their operations as smooth as your previous host has, might have been wiser to get a hardware upgrade and stay with the guys you were with.

it was a p4 1.2 or 1.3 and the cpu was running fine.. 85% idle all the time.. it was their bandwidth that was crapping out on me and inconsistent..

What I know is that I left a hosting company that was going through serious problems with their pipe and didn't even bother to fucking tell me that I might experience drops in connectivity so bad that for hours on end my TGP's went from 80-90% prod down to 20-30% prod.

Might be wiser for you to know your facts instead of talking out of your ass, I have a good friend whose been on cogent for 9 months and has had 35 minutes of down time, great connectivity anywhere in the world and solid reliable consistency in speed.
